Solomon Telekom Company Ltd (Telekom) is pleased to be using ContentKeeper’s Web Internet Filtering Solution to provide its Internet Access Service customers with a range of Web monitoring, management, and access control services. Telekom has found the ContentKeeper appliances to be very easy to set-up and use, with a comprehensive Web management interface covering an extensive range of capabilities.
With the impending roll out of ADSL based broadband services, Telekom approached Contentkeeper to provide a flexible and accurate internet filtering solution, primarily to encourage early take up of ADSL services by Government sector customers. Several key customers in that sector were raising concerns about the likely impact that unrestricted Internet access was going to have on their staff productivity, and some Government Ministries also had legitimate concerns about uncontrolled access to the internet by schools, higher education establishments, and youth centres. ContentKeeper allowed Telekom to quickly provide a solution which is now installed on the edge International IP gateway LAN. It has the ability to handle all our Internet Customers, but just as importantly can be configured to exclude customers who do not need these services, protecting their privacy. The impressive flexibility of the product is encouraging Telekom to develop further managed Internet Access products such as Family Friendly services for our wider customer base. Telekom is using the solution itself to manage its corporate Internet Access, and has found the content filtering database of ContentKeeper to be superior to the previously used commercial solution that was integrated into the company firewall.
Telekom appreciates the proactive support that has been offered by the ContentKeeper team, and would encourage other ISP’s and organizations to look seriously at the product’s capabilities if they want to provide a better Internet access experience for customers needing managed access to Internet resources.
